Any experiences?

I need a new bag for the commute, needs to be able to carry a 17" laptop and panniers are not an option (no mounts).

Ideally could do with it being waterproof (which this one isn't), although I could use a plastic bag as a bit of insurance and do have the option of the girlfriends car if it's really pissing down.

Any other options around a the £50 price range?

got this bag. very nice & still going strong after about 4-5yrs.
should stay dry enough as laptop goes inside another bit in the bag.
lots of pockets.

I was given a Pakuma as a pressie - the stitching holding the strap into the bag came away after about a year. I phoned them up, expecting to get a warranty without problem, but it turned out that because someone else had bought the bag, they would have to get in touch, with the receipt, to claim for it.

It was interesting to compare their attitude with Oakley - we bought my nephew a set of Oakleys for his 21st and one of the legs came off. He phoned them up and got told to send them in and they would be replaced no problem.

Needless to say, I've bought more Oakleys - I wouldn't buy another Pakuma bag.
