Anyone used paisley freight to post a bike? Just boxed mine up an box is a couple of cms too big. Are they strict on sizing? Do they actually measure it? Thanks for any info!

My experience with them was dreadful. I would make sure you get the full insurance - then you will discover they are not such a great deal anyway.

I've had pretty good results with Hermes Large and Light- it seems like you can only book it through 3rd parties, I've done it via Parcel2Go but the rates (with insurance of course) are good

After slating Paisley I was racking my brains as to who I had used that had been good. It was hermes, did not know about large and light, but have sent complete bike insured before, slow, cheap and no issues.

Used them to send a dh bike with a load of tyres last year. Weighed a ton and had to give the driver a hand with it!

I got the impression he was a contractor for Paisley as there where other logos onnhis van. He did not check the size or weight.

I also had bad experience with Paisley when I tried to send a bike sold on eBay. They postponed pick-up a couple of times - a complete pain in the A. ย I was going away on a biz trip imminently, so the delays resulted in me cancelling Paisley and sending it with Parcelforce (expensive but a good service, IME).

maybe ill just take it to the post office and send via parcel force. Don't have to waste a day waiting for a courier then! Thanks for the input, sounds like paisley freight are hit and miss at best!
