[#2567718]

on my ss off road i use easton 685mm low rise bars
on my commuter i use 560mm wide flats with bar ends

on the ss i get no pain or discomfort
on commuter after my 15mile trip i feel like im rolling onto the outside of my wrists and starts a little pain/discomfort so use the bar ends quite allot but cant all the time due to quick stoping traffic.
i want to do a 4hr off rd ride on this bike so want to get it sorted.

will this conclude that my flat bars are to short?

Have you tried using gloves with gel pads to protect the ulnar nerve. Specialized gloves all have these pads.

sounds like you need to get some bars that hold your wrists in a more natural position. On One midges for example - I had the same problem with my commuter and the midges fixed the problem. I can't recommend any other bars that do the same kind of thing as I've not used any more. You'll need a higher stem to get the hand position at the same level as your flats. I'm sure others have done it.....
