Ok, there's always one thing you kick yourself for forgetting so what will it be? What have I forgotten to pack?
the bike 😆
It's my first MM and to be honest it looks like I'm going for a bloody month!!!
What eating vans/chippy vans etc are usually there?
Your wellies?
Trojans?
Fly spray if you're allergic or get bitten a lot, there's a fair few around, big un's too.

The proper food tent. Usually a couple of ice cream vans kicking around during the day. Coffee place maybe. Trade stands selling energy bars/gels. That's about it.
And the hassle (and cost!) of going to the food tent every time you want something to eat soon gets very boring. Also, don't plan on being able to buy anything at Tesco's in Ledbury, it'll have been pillaged of all malt loaves, bananas, cereal bars and bottled water by 5pm on Friday!

Toilet roll. Baby wipes. Sandals/flipflops for walking to the shower.
Packing? I knew there was something i had to do!
Pack tomorrow, start training the day after.
Last year the thing I forgot was a lighter for the camping stove.
There was also a noodles bar last year...
+1 for baby wipes and wellies
Sudocrem!

Glasses
All your clothes
All your socks
All your tyres

I was planning on bringing everything in a T4 but now reduced down to a polo 😥

Packing tomorrow. Once I've finished rebuilding the bike....
😀 Excellent, someone less prepared than i am
Thanks Yen !
I've got a quick question that's related. What's the deal with water? Do i need to bring my own or is there drinking quality water there?
Other than that I'm pretty much ready as I'll ever be. 🙂
Don't forget to take some earplugs, in case you happen to camp next to some muppet who refuses to turn off the Generator at night... also useful to keep the mud out of your ears when swimming around the course in the middle of the night.... ;0)
Tho seems the forecast is looking good this year, about time.......
Seem to have all of the above. I almost forgot teabags though, which would be enough to make me turn around and go home.
Drinking water not a problem!
going to get going in a bit, good shout about earplugs ta
just got to finish work stuff then rack up and off we go - can't wait
I'm at work till 5 🙁
Packed last night, so soon as i'm home i'll be on the way down. Can't wait!
my room was a bomb site last night. one very peeded off girlfriend!
all sorted apart from chamois cream, missing rear gear cable and spring thing that keeps the pads apart from my caliper. trip to the bike shop this lunchtime!
Our hall looks like we've been robbed. Reminiscent of an everest base camp.
There's water on site, but some people get used to the taste of their local water and find water from other areas tastes funny.
If you're fussy like that, bring some from home.
Bottled water can come in handy for noisy generators too. 😉
"Well, there's plenty of fuel in the tank. I don't know why it stopped"
If you're worried about the water tasting funny, I don't think you're riding hard enough! 😉
To save everyone the bother of asking the same questions...most of the above remains excellent advice.
No mention of a snorkel?
Don't forget the mud tyres, mud bike and mud wellies.
Sense of humour and, oh yes, espresso machine, comfy chair, stove and some spares.
You don't need to worry about food too much. Stuff on site is good if you can't be bothered to make your own!

Why? It's a 9(?) mile lap.
Who cares. Take it anyway. It'll provide something to store a rain jacket in if the weather looks changeable.

maybe he doesn't plan on stopping every lap?

I guess the extra few lbs of pointless crap in the mule will pale into insignificance against the 40lbs of mud stuck to the bike 🙂
^^ this.
I'm riding solo so I plan on taking a few things with me. I can stop half way round for a break if I want to.
Better to over-prepare than to want something later on.
Ah, OK. Must admit I'd do the opposite and just use a bottle, but I see the logic.
Packing already?
Not packed but made a list 🙂
Noted.
is it really going to rain 🙁
yes.
pack a hip flask and your best 1000 yrd stare.
brake pads
