Been offered some Pacenti TL28 rims pretty cheap, though I've not heard much about them before. Anyone have any feedback / experience of the brand?

Not a whole lot of information out there on them.

Cheers,
Ian

I've got the sl23 v1 which i got fairly cheap as they are old stock. Built up really well on some novatech hubs. Really like them and they've stayed true so far.

I'm running CL25's and like them. Lightish and go tubeless very easily. Durable for me for typical xc use.

Pretty sure the rims I got 18mths or so ago from Superstar were CL25s (in 26'' flavour). They are reviewed as cross country race rims but I've been battering them on my Trance and they've been all good without a single true despite Superstars supposedly dodgy wheelbuilding. Would easily buy again.

Think that's what I have on my hardtail 29er. I was scared they might be a bit cheesy, but they've held up great to being bashed around the local woods and trail centers of South Wales. I run pressures around 20psi or less and it's not a XC 29er so it gets clattered about and hopped off things quite a lot.

I have the TL28 on my HT, they're great, not dented or cracked yet despite my best efforts in Wales at BPW, Antur etc

I had some DL31s on a 29er, ace rims.

Got DL31s, they're ace.

TL28's I found flexy and they dented. Chucked em after a year or so. Mixed trail/enduro/DH riding.

I found TL28s pretty easy to ding. The rear one lasted six months on my Pitch before it split on the inside between 4 spoke holes. I would avoid in future.

I've got the rim braked road-rimes on my Defy, built up on hope hubs.

The rear rim was changed under warranty after it cracked around one of the spoke nipple holes.

They are better than the H plus Son Archtypes they replaced, but I still don't trust them 100%.

Got some TL28 26" for my mum. They're still true (on sale superstar build on switch hubs), but as the interwebs hinted, they are a little soft. She's managed to put a small dent in the rim. Running 2.25" NN's Pacestar Snakeskin tubed so no problem, but probably an issue tubeless, even with careful bending/filing as best back to shape

I'm running TL-28s. Very happy with them. I got a full wheelset from Superstar in their Christmas sale for £120. Can't grumble.

I'm running them in 27.5 flavour on my bike (HT) on superstar hubs. Managed to dent the rear so got the wheel rebuilt with the same rim. Nice weight and width but I'm changing to heavier more durable wheel. They will go on the wife's bike as she is lighter so they should be fine.
