I'll keep it simple this time.. does anyone have a vague idea of:
1) How many cc's of oil to refill a pair of Pace RC36 (pro-class II's) - or similar forks?
2) Which weight oil should I put in?
3) Presumably motorbike fork oil will do the job, won't it?
My earlier, more detailed and unanswered ramblings on this problem may be viewed here: http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/changing-fork-oil-on-pace-pro-class-iis-how-what-oil#post-190274
Please, help, advice. Please. Thanks!
Here we go 2 3 4
I will try and find the manual for you today , if so I can scan you a copy
motor bike oil is brilliant cos it is cheap unlike cycle oil and the same stuff
Here is a drawing of the forks with a parts breakdown which may be of help
I use 10wt fully synthetic motorcycle fork oil when servicing. Never had a problem and as saladdoger said, it's much cheaper for a lot more.
Might be worth getting a small syringe as i have to inject my oil through the bolt hole that attaches the lowers to the stantions.
It's quite easy, just take yor time.
cheers saladdoger! That's exactly the sort of information I was looking for!
I had a feeling I'd seen something like that about on t' net somewhere, sometime.. I shall disassemble my forks with a little more confidence now!
...If you do get a chance to scan the manual that'd be most appreciated too!
