I know these forks have a 85kgish weight limit but how heavy is ok?
I ain't ever gonna be 14 stone unless I get some big bits amputated and I'd like to use them on my monster cross
As it say 85kgs ....... 86kgs = snap plus massive face plant.
I had the 29er version and I weigh 90kg so over the limit, but watching them flex when riding down hill scared me enough to replace them with on-one carbon forks..looked nice tho
They snap. I weigh 13-13.5 stone and the steerer snapped. I blacked out. In hospital. 38 stitches in my mouth and on my head.
Go on-one if you are worried. I noticed the pace flex slightly more when braking compared to the on-one version (13.5st).
Apart from that, very little in them, imho.
I weigh 60kg and mine are scary to look at when riding.
I weigh 13-13.5 stone and the steerer snapped.
Ok I won't be buying Pace then........I reckon I'd have to cut one of my legs off to get to that weight
Anybody used Exotic forks as they do 40.5cm and 42.5cm options?
I have a set of the Alu steerer Exotics. They look a lot like Pace and also flex around a hell of a lot on fast trails. I'm 75kg. Maybe email them and ask?
68Kg on Exotics, early days and I can't honestly say I've noticed them flexing a lot on fast trails...but then I'm not really looking at my forks!
I think I'll call them tomorrow for a chat
They're going on a CX bike so not subject to the same shizz as an MTB
I've had 3 pairs of Pace carbons and at 85-95kg haven't had a problem.
Always sold them after a few rides as I found watching them flex very effective............ as a laxative !
100kg on my RC31, feel great...
