Following on from my other mudguard post.
My wife's touring bike is a slick tyred 26inch hardtail that I've put on a spare pair of Pace 440cm RC31 forks onto instead of the suspension forks.
Obviously that means there is masses of room between the crown and the slick tyre. So wondering if fitting a full mudguard will be an option???
I do have a pair of spare Salsa 440mm forks too, they have a more conventional shape but I'd still have the huge crown to tyre gap to contend with.
Any ideas please......
yep.
top - use a head-lock type headset tensioner to hold a bracket under the steerer and then rubber covered clamps at bottom.
I've got some rubbish pics somewhere, hang on.

Looking good wwaswas.
As recommended in the other thread I was thinking these might also be good for my bike and for the rc31s - SKS Raceblades - only half a mudguard but would hopefully take the most of the spray and I could position the bracket anywhere on the RC31 leg to get the best fit......

I tried those - the brakcets weren't long enough to go round the carbon tubes.
the guard in the pics is a full length Bluemels SKS one;

about half way down this page.
Gives a lot of choice with tyre width and much better protection that the SKS ones.
I have a couple of spares of those rubber clip things if you're interested or you can get them on ebay for not a lot.
