I`m a bit lazy and thought i would ask you bunch to see what you have done. I have a dropout that accepts the old hope calliper from around 96 but the newer frame is the version with a dropout and stay that holds the calliper on. (the old frame had a monster of a cnc machined dropout to bolt the brake on to without bolting it onto the stay at all)
I remember the dropout someone made up to run i.s. callipers above the seat stay but i would like to use the original fixing point on the chainstay.
Any thoughts or experiences?

Hi
I had mine running with the Hope C2 No.1 caliper from memory which bolted directly to the chainstay mounts. There is/was a guy on retrobike (Gil???) who made up some dropouts to take a standard IS mount caliper.
I don't think there are any calipers other than the specific Hope C2 one that will fit to the chainstay mounts. I think they are spaced the same as current postmount.
