Those marshals are a bit slack on the whistle-blowing no ? Mind you it is Bogota, perhaps they only blow them if somebody tries to hold up a rider at gunpoint for the ransom.

At the start I was thinking that it looks like a well fun track to ride (assuming you can find a time to ride it where you won't run into a million locals). But those steps towards the end were bonkers steep. Great video 🙂

Steps don't look too bad, guess the camera doesn't give a true impression of how steep they are! It's the shiny, wet looking "cobbles" that look deadly to me 🙂

I nearly got arm pump just from watching that.

I've walked up those steps, it was a long way and at altitude. At the top were stalls selling some of the most tasteless tat I've ever seen, which included a crucifixion clock... there's a Wimpy bar in Bogota - or was about 15 years ago - not many people know that...

Does the downhill come with a complementary kidnapping and beheading by FARC guerillas?

Having said that, the city is meant to be safe, it's just the rest of the country.....
