Does anyone know of you can fit an Overdrive 2 steerer into an XX44 headtube? If so what top headset parts would i need? The crown race and bearings from my old tapered steerer already fit, but the other end all the 1 1/8 stuff is too small....

Try Cane Creeks headset finder on their website.
Thats an Giant specific headset standard. If you can't find anything online try contacting your local Giant dealer see if they can get a headset ordered in for you.

Yeah. I bought a fork on ebay thinking it was a standard tapered but then learnt of this new Giant standard when it didn't fit my headset stem or spacers... I'll have a look on cane creek but think only fsa do 1.25 sets...
