just a bit of a moan, cornering on a tarmac corner this morning on the cx bike, next thing I know is the side of my head kisses the tarmac... gotta love ice and gravel rash. ouch.

thanks wookster, it did take me by surprise. front wheel washed away. Two ladies behind me I'd not long overtaken, came around the same spot, I told them to watch the ice and they said, oooh ok and then cruised across the same ground without incident, jammy... mental note, do not lean into that corner in ice

wet tram line* got me a few weeks ago ouchy, the crash went knee (shredded stealths), hand (ripped gloves) shoulder (ripped jacket) roll over, bike land on top of me. Embarrassing and expensive. Very icey this morning, careful out there.

I did the same this morning, thought it had warmed up enough to take the back streets to work again, was peddling full tilt when I hit black ice and was instantly sliding along the tarmac, luckily just a skinned knee and bruised arse. Glad there wasn't any cars about.
32 quid lid replacement (specialized), which is fair enough. Bruises and pain are only temporary, right? lol.
