Out tonight playing with the camera and had it strapped to my ankle
and filming at 120 fps when a stone tripped me up causing much pain and bruise plus leakeage of blood from my elbow . ๐ฅ
be careful out there
tyres are clearly too skinny
I have watched that several times now, and still can't work out what's going on.
Seems to me the stone flips on its side and goes under the pedal which then flips me
I did hear a metalic thud just before losing control
That would just about make sense, is that film real time or slow-mo? My last big pedal stroke seemed to have a similar result, just a lot faster.
Slow mo
dont know how to get realtime from 120fps
also trashed the rear skewer and disk upon landing
I so hope that is "slow motion" or we have a contender for the lamest fall of 2014! ๐
Pretty obvious it was the trails coming alive at 120fps / 650b
Yes, but was the bike OK?
Bikes in better nick than I am only a bent rotor
been looking at it frame by frame and it seems the stone stood up on edge and went into the back tyre
I need more skilz
What was the camera mounted on?
It appears to swing forward and hit the front. Are you riding the worlds first folding fatbike?
Edit: on your ankle...
I reckon the rock flipped up and you were scared of smashing the camera on your ankle and so slipped a pedal and then fell off like a small child.
strapped to my leg just above the boot
Day-am.
That.
Sucked.
Unluckiest fall of the week I bet.
Awesome vid though.
