as title both are struggling to work to " back up some new dvd's" can any one suggest any others to try free if poss ,

"AnyDvD" works ok for backing-up DVDs. allegedly.
Apparently theres no need to use DVD Decrypter then.

AnyDVD is a process you run in the background to remove protections put onto the DVD which prevent you from ripping it.
Use this in combination with DVDShrink to rip.
DVDFabDecryptor I've used in the past on its own and worked well.

DVDFabDecryptor4 does the lot and 5 does HD stuff.
