Looking to buy one, do they have easy access side pockets suitable for bananas and suchlike or is this only available on the 14? The photos I've seen are a bit unclear, is it a 2011 upgrade?

If you're interested, I'd sell it for £45 posted. In very good nick.

Cheers

Exactly that one 🙂

I've got a proper cleaning kit for the bladder, so can give that a proper sterilising too.

everything is in really good nick, the only mark I can think of on the bag is a small bend in the top of the hose, where it enters the bag - which was there from the day I bought it - it's just how it was stored in the shop.

Cheers

Ricks

Sorry, no side pockets for bananas on the 10. The side pockets on the 14 are hardly banana sized either.

It is a great pack though!

I put shotblocs and Torq bars in mine.... just the right size for 2 packs of shot blocs or 1 torq bar.

Don't put a multi-tool in there though, or you'll be buying your mate one when you lose it on a rocky descent.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm inclined to go for the larger now as I already have a small Dalkine pack, the 14 which seems to tick all the boxes. Sorry about that rickon.

No worries, I'll be putting it up on the classifieds when I have chance to pop it in the wash and sterilise the bladder 🙂

Snow & Rock have the Osprey Viper 10 and Viper 14 heavily discounted at £44.99 and £50.99 respectively.

I ordered the Raptor 10 myself.

Mine is the S/M one. I'm 5'11 and my mate is 5'7 and we're on the same size...

@ Pistonbroke...

[thread hijack] Duncan, was that a Gelert Solo you had strapped to your bike on the Welsh Ride Thing? And if so, is that the size the tent packs down to or was some of it redistributed among the rest of your luggage? It seemed very compact. Cheers. [/thread hijack]

Raptor, but good spot.

Does this mean that they're clearing old stock because the Raptor II is coming out, I wonder?

Plenty space for a banana in the stretchy front pocket.

They are very good packs - much better than the Camelbaks

@ Slugwash.
Yes it was a Gelert Solo and all the tent componenets were in the bag, it fits exactly in the gap between the saddle and seatstay on my Scandal and straps round the seatpost. No issues with it coming loose but I beefed the bag up with some 3 inch wide webbing.

The WRT was my maiden voyage in the Solo in heavy rain and it stood up very well, less chlaustrophobic than a bivvi but not as comfortable as a bothy. Great value for £25-£30.

The Raptor 14 definitely has side pockets big enough for a banana! And the interior compartment is arranged perfectly for your tools and the like.

I had the Raptor 10 and it was great for ventilation and hydration. Would recommend Ospreys bags to anyone...

Got the raptor 14 but found out today as I went for a test ride round block loaded up with weight, the back of the bag is not good if you are a skinny person like me with a very prominent spine. Cause lots of pain ad I rode as the back is very flat.

Really gutted as everything else abotu the bag is amazing. Sending it back tomorrow 🙁
