[#5145796]

I know that there are quite a few owners on here so tell me about your experiences ordering your bike.

Local bike shop placed an order about a month ago with Nicolai, however we're both still waiting to hear back when it's due to be made and shipped. Was hoping for the slot in June or shipment early July, but lack of communication has me worried and is taking the lustre off building up my bike dream bike, if this slot is missed I'm going to miss the summer months...

Should have gone for a Tracer maybe after all ๐Ÿ™

Expect it to arrive at least a month after the date you are given.
Also it might not be the correct colour when it arrives...

bruneep, I know about that link. I should have managed a slot for week 23. However radio silence is concerning me now, especially if I'm not on the list yet as the bike won't be ready until October. If that's the case I might reconsider, was planning a long weekend with the new toy late August / September.

Anyone been in touch with Simon at Nicolai UK recently?

No email address on profile and asks on a public forum rather than contacting us. not the best start.

I can't see any unconfirmed orders on our order system so if your shop ordered a bike in the usual way they should have a provisional delivery date and should be able to tell you if you ask them.

All the bikes on the order sheet are from regular dealers - if your shop is not a regular dealer they've not actually placed the order yet.

Distributor publicly berates paying customer of boutique brand for naivety, not the best start?

Simon I emailed you over a week ago...

So I have attempted to go through the route you suggested. Returned your email. Just want to know what is going on that is all, spending a lot of money on a bike I've wanted for the best part of ten years....

To be continued by email rather than on here...

Yeah not too happy with the public berating when I have attempted to contact via email previously.

Ten months for mine I seem to remember. I might be wrong though, it was a few years ago. When it arrived I was confirmed with the fact that it was and remains the most fabulous bike I've ever ridden, bar none.

However, having recently ridden a friend's IndyFab 29er HT- Hmmm... tempting!

I wonder if Simon was pissed up when he wrote that post.

I certainly hope so.

Mine have usually taken 3 to 4 months of anguished wait.

Bruneep, what are you riding ?

That would imply I have ridden it, it's built up not used in anger apart from kerb testing. Been too busy lately, maybe this weekend.

er, yes. The drawbacks of 24 hour email for a business. You get the rough with the smooth.

It was late on Friday night.

Wow.

Not only do you get to pay 50% more than most other brands, you also get a free public telling-off.

Where do I sign up?
