seems like it's another way of a bike shop offering a discount, any shop should be able to match the starting bid for a one-off payment.

Yep, but the list price is £2860 so he's selling them at a knock down. He must have a reseller discount, (like shops do) to make his margin, clever/cheeky depending on your point of view!

Or he's a scammer. Would you send a cheque for £2600 to someone who has no seller feedback and will ship the bike in 3 weeks!?!? His only feedback is for buying a teapot and an Ann Summers vibrator.

I'd only do it if I was going to collect in person - he could easily go out of business after payment but before delivery to you

I got £200 off a current model £2k bike (in a puka bike shop) just for asking what they'd do it for. So it doesn't seem that great a deal!!

Actually, yeah, didn't look at his profile. Feedback of 6, all low value purchases then you are on selling 2600 quids worth of goods you don't own. Very dodgy.
