I don't understand the problem with the price of these. Some, seemingly similar, things cost more than others. An iphone costs more than most android phones, and Audi costs more than a Skoda. That's just how capitalism works. If you can persuade enough people to pay more for your product (for whatever reason) then why wouldn't you? If it doesn't seem worth it to you that's fine: don't buy it. If not enough people buy it then the price will change, but if they can sell as many as they need at this price then good on em.
Also, surprised the armchair engineers on here haven't mentioned the lack of gussets on a frame with a very slack HA....
In steel I believe you can go gussetless by using something like a Reynolds DZB tubeset. Perhaps the T7 Ti tubeset has been drawn this way.
You'd have to be a proper mug to buy a fully-built one at Orange's RRP though eh?
Not really, you just need to put a high value on your own time (and want an Orange of course). Plenty of people who earn lots but don't have much free time would rather just buy a full bike than "waste" time trying to save a few quid. Each to their own.
Maybe Ashley needs a bit more money to payback the people that helped him buy it from his uncle Steve?
As a LTD edition they'll manage to sell the 30 with little problem. Compared with the Kingdom posted or the new price Hope bike it looks hideously expensive.
It is nice, but string money.
Personally I think the Stanton Ti's are better looking at cheaper. The Kingdom's are nice too. On the flip side the Orange will be super rare.
While that is definitely true, if you want a ti hardtail with the geometry of the P7, there aren't many options.Compared with the Kingdom posted or the new price Hope bike it looks hideously expensive.
I've just sent my 5 frame off to the anodizers..
This will be a one of Ltd edition 2014 frame..any buyers ๐
Do we know who makes it yet?
