Just a pipe dream but I have read some reviews - I have an orange Five - but wondered if it could slowly build up a light weight XC/trail bike up with this frame ? ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep the Five.

I should have kept mine. More pivots aren't really going to mean a better bike than what is arguably the best "British conditions" allrounder made to date.

Pretty much the same weight as a 5 isn't it?
Intense Spider 2? Giant anthem? Yeti ASR5?

I guess I was looking into something between my kinesis XC2 HT and the Five - just to fill a niche that isn't there - and I like the british (sort of) theme ๐Ÿ˜‰

Easy, chop the 5 in for an alpine 160 and then get a ST4!
