Morning friends, as title suggests does any of u fellow bikers know the weight? Taken a bit of shine to one of these to replace my Cove Handjob and join my Orange 5 pro. Any opinions and praise/gripes will be appreciated aswell.

Thanks,
Mike.

The P7 fails the pick up with one hand in the car park test, so not light. But, it never feels heavy when you ride it.

Mine is standard 2008 spec except for:

-heavier sunline V3 bars
-tompson stem/post
-nobby nics
-hope mono minis
-Single front ring+bash (front mech as chain guide)

and weighs in at a whisker under 29lbs. With proper fishing hook scales, none of this bathroom scales nonsense. Probably very similar weight to the standard spec.

EDIT: love mine, but probably would go for something lighter if I had to choose again.

Not light, but not too heavy.

Trouble is, a lot of the weight's in the excessively lardy (and expensive) frame. If it said On One on the side it'd cost £150. True the finishing is very, very good but... Well, it's a 631 frame that costs as much as a 853 frame, at the end of the day. They've hidden behind the CEN testing as an excuse but it doesn't wash at all, a 456 is lighter and stronger. A Soul's about 3/4 the weight and passes the exact same testing, costs much the same, and has the same quality of finishing. Or a BFe's still lighter and considerably stronger. It does ride pretty nicely but nothing spectacular.

Not to obsess on Cotics, there's plenty of others that you could say the same about.

Ah well, the 2009 model is a little lighter IIRC and that's a much better price. I wouldn't let that put you off.

Weighs about the same as a small Church. On one 456,£150,I have had both, and finish apart (as already stated) didn't notice much difference in the way they rode.

got any data on the strength side of things, or just guessing based on gussetting etc? I'm considering running a p7 as a playbike, so interested if its a long way off the bfe in terms of strength (given the approx same frame weight)
