I am thinking of buying a P7 secondhand and saw a 2007 model on ebay. Unfortunately, the 2007 model does not seem suitable for 100mm forks, which is something I like. However, the 2008 model does seem to accept 100 mm forks. Did they change the frame or are they simply changing acceptable fork lengths?

you'll be able to check on the orange website to see if any of the angles are different from one to the other. i've got the 07 model with 140mm and love it

I have an 07. Originally fitted with 100mm Rebas for a few weeks. Then the travel was changed to 115mm, as I'd requested originally. I've now got Pikes on it, which are a MUCH better fit than the Rebas. It just never felt quite right with the shorter forks on, but it's an absolute blast now. I'd say that if you want to use 100mm forks, then the P7 isn't really the frame you're after.

Thanks, that's good information. I have seen a difference in geometry now between the 2007 and 2008 model. The 2008 model seems somewhet less extreme, which may make it possible, but the frame does appear to be more aimed at larger forks.

If you want an Orange tale a look at the G2
as they have a 100 mm fork attached.
