Going from a double and bash to a single 32 N/W on my Five using a triple crank.

Logic tells me the bottom bracket spacing won't change since its taking the place of the middle ring but has anyone who's done it found they've needed to move spacers about for a better chain line?

Any advice appreciated.

I used the standard middle ring position with no problems.

Middle ring position is about as good as it gets.

I use the outer,is that bad? Lol

Its less than optimal for use over the full range of the cassette.

Chainline will be more exaggerated than it needs to be in the lower gears with more side loading on the chain and cassette, upside is it will be sweet in the taller gears.

I've got a superstar ring on the middle of a triple SLX crank, with a set of spacers shifting the ring inboard by about 2mm. Against the crank on its own it seemed to line up with about 7th cog. No problem as such but was a bit rattly on bottom gear.
