[#1732163]

I've managed to get hold of one of the limited edition 2007 clockworks. I'm trying to work out the seatpost size. It's got a shim and Orange are telling me it's a 27.2 but I've just tried putting my post in and it's mangled the bottom of it. Thankfully it's an old post but not sure what size to order now, anyone have the same issues or any ideas please.

Thanks.

I used to have one & ran 27.2mm. Can't recall a shim, but then I am getting old.

PS - what do you mean by mangled? Do you have a pic? Maybe if it has caused some scratching it needs a clean out. Or are you having to forcefully ram the post in?

Basically it's like I have to screw it in. The shim seems fine on it. I've brought a cheap 27.0 post and I'm going to try that.

Any bits of paint/debris visible on the seat tube?

Seatpost size is 27.2.
I have a 2007 Clockwork and fitted a 27.2 diameter USE carbon post with the standard shim the frame came with, fits perfectly
