[Closed] Orange 5 Rear Maxle: Is it Necessary??

I'm seriously considering buying an Orange 5 frame but i'm unsure whether to go for the maxle rear swingarm.

I run pro2 hubs so the conversion is not an issue. Also I'm 15 stone so wonder whether the frame will ride better for the extra stiffness, although this is apparently a very stiff frame any how.

I mainly ride in the peaks, trail centre stuff etc.

Your thoughts & experiences please??

My feeling is, and this is only based upon their use on the front, that having a maxle is not a necessity but would definitely be advantageous. They are as fast, if not faster than a normal QR but you get the benefits of the dropouts being tied together much better.

If I was you, I would get one.

Aye, do it, unless you're a weenie. Much nicer than QRs.
