[#2623742]

I would like to test ride the 2011 5 Diva, but it's actually not easy to track down a demo bike. Even Leisure Lakes gave me a 'no' today!

Before I plead with the LBS to get one in for me, I could do with knowing if I'm likely to want the long or short version. I can't imagine for a minute they will be able to get both in, if they can get one at all.

So, has anyone got one, or tried one, and if so, which one and how did it feel. A pointer towards build of rider would also be good (i.e. height and longer-legged or not.) I know for certain the 16" standard version is way too big.

Thanks 🙂

Swinnerton Cycles at Cannock chase Have a 14" Five Diva as far as I am aware. You can hire it for £30 for three hours and give it a proper test ride rather than the once-round-the-car park you would have got from Leisure Snakes. I have just done the same with a Five and they are proper lovely folk.

I think Mrs. Cheezybeanz has a 5 diva. She may be along soon.

Give Orange a call, they'll know where all the demo bikes are & might even get one moved to your LBS (Whyte did this for me when I was wanting to get a 46)

Leisure lakes will get one in from Orange, who keep a test fleet - they did for me for a blood; I kept it for 2 weeks and didn't buy, but it still cost me sod all (I did actually get something).

Forget the Orange and go buy a Cube......

They do a few beautiful ladies bikes and make the Diva look positively old and poor value for money.

Daughter bought one last summer and loves it. Pretty sure its a short. I'll see if she's free and can pop on here later and help out.

Mrs Uber rides a 14" Five - it's the same frame as the 5 Diva Long. She's 5'4" and short of leg. The Diva Short must be pretty dinky, for her the reach on her Five is absolutely perfect.

Orange have a couple of Divas in their special offers section too...

The girl who owns the brake pad at Kirroughtree has a demo, its a 14" short, if you cant get up there then give her a call and she will advise you.

Just had this back from Lindsay:

I'm 5ft 5 and have a short and it's perfect, according to Orange I'm borderline for needing a long but opted for the short, you can always use a slightly longer stem if you need a bit more space. I'd only go for a long if you're taller than me. Oh and whatever you do, buy one of them, it's brilliant!!!!

Hope it helps.

Rob

Thanks all for your help, I'm 5'3" with long legs and a short body, and I like a compact cockpit, so I suspect I'll be best demoing the short.

Forget the Orange and go buy a Cube......

They do a few beautiful ladies bikes and make the Diva look positively old and poor value for money.

Can you recommend me a model to look at which will compare directly with the 5 Diva for the kind of riding it will be used for? Thanks 🙂

There's a demo day at Kirroughtree breakpad on 24th May if you can wait that long??
I am 5ft2 and the DIVA short was tiny for me - the long suited me and so I bought it and it was a great decision,
Really advise you to give both a try - rather than go on recommendations
