As a newcomer to this whole 1x10, narrow/wide chainring thing I'd just like to know what others have found as being the best chainline - is something like 47.5mm ok, or as I read on (I think) mtbr forums, is something like 45mm better?
In other words, will the middle ring position on a triple crankset do?

Middle ring position will be fine.

With 1x10 being based on a middle ring, it is pretty flexible when it comes to chainline 8)

45-50mm should be fine, or as above, standard middle ring placement
