I'm rebuilding a Kona Unit 29'er and wondering if this wheelset would be up to the job:

The hubs are good just don't know about the rims.

Anyone use Mach 1 250 Disk rims on anything?

Seem very heavy, I've just bought some Stans Crest 29's on Superstar hubs which weigh 700g less, but did cost twice as much.

Never heard of the rims.

Sorry, not a very useful contribution I'm afraid!

Cheers, Rich

I think mach rims come on OEM bikes. Their weight is actually pretty good. The hubs aren't very well sealed.

Overall they look ok for the money to me.

I'd ignore any comparison with something twice the price, pretty meaningless.

My experience of those hubs is that hey are crap. Have you tried the On One website recently? They used to have a 29er wheelset with those rims, but better hubs.
