Pretty much as above

GF wants to spoil me this Crimbo - which is nice

Ive seen an Ibis Silk frame that I can swap my Ultegra (road!!) bits onto for a good price but know naff all about Ibis road stuff

Their MTB frames get raved at here yet theres bugger all online about the tarmac gear

Are Ibis road frames cheap because they are rubbish or cheap because they are great but no roadies have heard of them so dont buy 'em?

It hasnt escaped my attention that there can only be a few factories in the far east making carbon road bikes and the Ibis frame may well be sold with different stickers as something else at a big mark up - allegedly Focus frames are also sold as something else with new stickers at a big price hike

Opinions welcome

Cheers!!

The Silks are really nice in the flesh. I think they are built only for Ibis too, so you're unlikely to come across one in another guise.

Have a think about what you want it for though. I was really considering one (to replace a Focus Cayo as it happens) but a few rider reviews point to it being a bit racy and "harsh" whereas I'm really after an all-day century/sportive type of thing.

Aren't the plastic frames remarkably similar to the Intense road frame?
