(before anyone asks, I've contacted Open already, just looking for a quicker answer)
i ordered a Rotor GXP cup set, there wasn't enough axle on the NDS to fit when pressed in
was this one
so i contacted open, told them i was switching to Shimano cranks and could i order a BB direct, so i was getting the right thing,
they send this, its exactly the same as the GXP version apart from the NDS bearing is not sleeved, i tried to fit it, but encountered the same issue
i assume i actually need this? help, bb issue has delayed my build about a month waiting for various shipments from USA/Germany

Yep.Open (not the latest ones) use BB right (or BB right pain in the 'arris) which is wider on the nds.
If it's BBright then yes. Wheels Mfg do a better one that threads together to form a solid unit with perfect bearing alignment.

yer i know its bbright, its 84mm though, so wider than standard, not sure why they would send me what they have sent me ๐
Aye - should be wider than the road version to work with MTB chainsets. Similar to 86/91mm wide shimano pressfit BBs - MTB 5mm wider than road.
Ahh the mtb one is 5mm wider, did'nt know that.Yes the 2nd is correct then.
Swift reply from Open, they sent the wrong one
