[#1245315]

Hi,

Stoner posted this photo: [img] [/img]

And I wondered whether there was a particular fork, or whether it is indeed a lefty, and if so, how was it fitted to the frame?

thanks,
Jonathan

That's a U.S.E Sub fork, and was designed and built with a regular 1 1/8th steerer...

That's a USE SUB, if I'm not mistaken.

Although Cannondale are going to start doing Leftys for standard bikes, or you can get modifications to make one fit.

They aren't cheap are they!! It looks cheaper to use some 'project 321' stuff on a lefty instead...

Hmmm.. .decisions decisions.

cheers chaps!

you can get a aftermarket 1.18th steerers for a lefty on ebay, some far eastern company makes them, there was a thread not long ago so try a search on here.
that is a use sub though

two options to fit a lefty to a std frame:

1) Project 321 headtube adaptor kit

2) Cannondale Headtube adaptor kit.

You can buy a Lefty for All now - fits 1 1/8" headtubes and no fuss. All pukka Cannondale too.

I don’t remember seeing an on-one with a Sub in the wicker man, is that a deleted scene?

LOL at everyone.

Little more to add, although you may wish to note that is the Sub29er.

The anti-dive oleo worked very well, but the small bump sensitivity just was not there unless the brake was engaged. Very nicely made and USE are a great company. Dont think they make them anymore.
