[#5735176]

I'm struggling with my inbred budget build, the frame is the slot drop version and I'm trying to mount a tektro Aurigo brake with 185mm avid rotor and brake mount. The rotor seems to be too large with this combination, my next step is to try a 180mm rotor. Any other ideas?

It's an IS standard mount so whatever size rotor it's meant for should fit.
However, huge caliper body's or odd bits sticking out sometimes mean it won't go in there.
Try a 180mm rotor. That sounds more normal.

Thanks Brant, it is the correct mount for the rotor, but maybe there is something odd with the tektro caliper?!I will see what happens with the 180mm.

Is it not more usual to use a 160 mm on the rear? Works fine on my OnOne ?

The Auriga is usually 180mm not 185mm.

Maybe that is my problem Ben?! This is a budget build trying to use as much as possible from the shed, hence 185 rather than 160mm.

It won't be 160mm - at least not without a different IS adapter. The Aurigas I usually use on recumbent trikes are 180mm.
