OOh excited.
Blank out the diary in Outlook, off to the LBS, yes a real bricks and mortar LBS, collect the new bike and hopefully manage a shakedown blast later on.
The Trek had its last race on Sunday and was sold yesterday, today I pick up my new XC race bike.
To something with big wheels and funny forks
Bring on the 2015 season!
Single sided forks one assumes?
Sounds good!
Yes, rather than rigid.
Or Lauf, or something really odd!
Well, I feel thoroughly cheated for clicking on a "new bike" thread to be confronted with an "old bike" picture.
Has your buyer seen the front brake hose routing?
Funny forks.. So that must be Lefty, Lauf or RS-1. As you're into XC it must be some sort of Carbon bike. You have enquired about mail order bikes so that opens lots of doors.
I think it might be a;
- Canyon Lux CF 29er
- Spec Stumpjumper
- Whyte 29 C Team
- Cube Elite C68 SLT 29
- Cannondale F-SI Black
Or I could be way off ๐
XC race and you're still rocking the double? ๐
That's one of the "tweaks" that needs doing, although it'll take a few weeks as Absolute Black haven't released their 34t oval ring yet.
Other short term upgrades are going tubeless and getting new grips.
10.99kg as bought
10.82kg tubeless
830 grams to lose, then I guess things start getting expensive
nice
Your grass is a bit patchy.
I LIKE that a lot, but have utterly no need for it ๐ฅ
Looks great! What is it, an F29 Carbon 3?
Not too many obvious areas to trim fat! Bar/seatpost/saddle?
After having a flash and a scalpel I REALLY like the fast cannondale bikes.
How do you rate the front end vs the DT swiss on the trek
Yup, F3 in large.
Tiny amount moving to XT pedals, as the shop were out of stock and they were included in the deal.
Going 1*10 will lose 300grams I guess, then a little more moving to Gripshift.
Cassette is almost 400grams, so 150 or so to lose there.
Saddle and bar for the rest.
Cranks and BB are 870grams so potential there, but getting towards big money.
