Figured there would be loads about now that 26" causes cat aids and such, but pretty slim pickings.

That is flippin awesome. There is nothing more satisfying, bike build-wise, than one for your kids.
That is proper ace, My Wee man's 10 and on on 24" ATM but something along those lines will be the next step.
Thanks all. Yeah, very chuffed with the finished build. Love a retro splatter paint so may well be doing a grown up project splatter paint too.

Nice! How did she achieve the effects? Have you lacquered it?
I rubbed down the frame, cleaned with IPA, and then she used spray.bike spray paints. Spray into a cup or lid and then splatter away!
She let it dry between colours.
Once full dry I gave it about 5-6 light coats of spray lacquer.
It won’t be the toughest but survived me building it up at least!

Sweet. Did similar for my daughter in respraying what was my old 26" bike. Seeing her on it and having it fit her makes me wonder how on earth it ever fitted me!
Love it! Building kids bikes is so satisfying. I’m a spray.bike fan too, it can turn an old frame into a brand new custom bike.

Absolutely right @binman - dropper arrived yesterday but needs a hole drilling as it’s stealth. I’ll let her enjoy the bike for a bit first before I start the upgrades! Lol
