[#2495317]

I'm still keeping an eye out for anywhere that does this non-standard adapter (on-one dont)and I recently found this:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=46852
Long link sorry (lazy).
They look like they fit, has anyone tried them.
A little expensive though.

Ive got the centre lock version of that, but the c-lock centre and lock ring look the same. As you say they are expensive, but theres not a lot you can do. ๐Ÿ™

why is it a non standard adaptor exactly? presume you have a centre-lock shimano hub that you want to fit a 6-bolt disc too?
or am i missing something?

I use these for converting C-Lock to 6-bolt...

http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/Wheels/Wheel+Accessories/Wheel+Spares/Ashima+Centelock+to+6-Bolt+Adapter_ASCENTLOCK.htm

The lockring is irrelevant as its not used to hold the rotor/adapter on. Being using one for nearly 2 years on my Shimano c-lock hubs and also on my O-O hubs

why is it a non standard adaptor exactly?

iirc diameter of the lockring is different than standard c-lock hubs like shimano

I cant justify buying 2 of those at that price! but its the first time I've seen anywhere selling them, so I'll keep looking.

They are On One hubs that have a c-lock centres on them not Shimano centre lock.

nuke, the centre of the hub looks like the centre of my linked item, there is then a seperate adapter that changes the centre to a standard centre lock splined flange. I am missing this adapter and its totaly different to a standard centre lock adapter.

After wandering off to the shed and having a look at my wheels, I've realised what you're talking about...do you currently have the centrelock version?

i'm confused, has someone invented a third way of attaching a brake disc to a hub that neither centre-lock nor 6 bolt?

It's not a third way: it's an adapter that goes on the hub that has the attachment for either centrelock or 6-bolt

Yeah nuke, I have the wheels that have the rounded small diameter splines, i asume this is c-lock as opposed to shimano centre lock. I then have the small adapter that converts it from c-lock to shimano centre lock. I bought a spare set of wheels second hand but they didnt come with any adapters and now want to use them for a second bike.

Nope, you've lost me now (...and that makes my post re HH question irrelevant)...all my posts refer to c-lock as in Shimano Centrelock. I'm not aware of c-lock.

My hubs have the adapter thing that goes on first then fits Shimano Centrelock rotors. These came as standard with my O-O 29er wheelset

sorry, mine do too, and its this adapter that I'm after as without that I cant fit any type of disc on the bike! Looking at my link to CRC they call it a c-lock to 6 bolt adapter so I assumed it was c-lock fitting that on-one hubs have. , I dont know if it has a special name.

Persoanlly I reckon you're right: I reckon they would work....although until you see them in the flesh it is a gamble. CRC are okay for returns ๐Ÿ˜‰

Funny how it shows a Kore lockring which looks like the ones that came with the wheelset

Yes, I'm sure my presence on this thread has made a confusing subject, even more confusing. My work here is done ๐Ÿ˜›

i recently bought a rear wheel off on one and it had a weird disc mount a rounded spline with 10 ish teeth ,, i went to a few shops looking for an adaptor and no one seemed to know what i was talking about,, then i found what i wanted was actualy supplied with the hub,,

my hub had a spacer on the spline this spacer had a rubber cover on it pull off the rubber cover and surprise you have a shimano spline ,,

so then you can go for a shimano disk or add another adaptor and go for 6 bolt

i'm sure on one must have them
