I am very confused. I believe the On One inbred is a 68mm English BB size. So I bought a 68/113 square taper Shimano UN54. The problem is that it is too long and does not tighten to the frame properly. So I thought Ah ha a spacer or two are required. I spoke to my LBS today and they say spacers are only for hollowtech, but I believed they could be used with any BB to sort out the chain line... Any clues or anyone running an inbred with a square taper BB who has got it to fit.

Make sure you havnt bought one designed for a BB mounted mech..
it will have an "E" in it I think.
I have a 113/ 68 in my 456 and it is fine
05 - Thanks I have tried to screw both sides in independently and they fully screw in so not the treads but another one eliminated 🙂
Dancake, No E. I checked with a neighbour who has a steel inbred with square tapers and he has the same problem of a 1.5 mm gap between the non drive side and the shell. However he has been riding it for a year fine which begs the question.
Anyone else seen this?
