[#11824626]

So I've drawn a blank having bent the existing hanger on this older frame. The combined hanger/dropout that sits inboard and has two larger fixing-holes plus a derailleur mount and QR dropout.

Nothing on the website and no response to an email from PLanet X.
Looking at gearmechhanger.com and rearmechhanger.com there doesn't seem to be anything to match.

Does anyone know of a source or even a part number for this? many thanks.

Planet X have just told me it's a part shared with a Whippet V1 and Lurcher....but not available and no part number. But being on more bike models hopefully increases the chance of a 3rd party producing it.

I’ve got a couple but they’re at my parents house that obviously I can’t get to!

Assuming it’s more urgent but if you could wait a few weeks I could either find my spare or lend the original to be copied.

They are just a very simple plate. Thick too. Even if the mech hanger threads are stripped, I'm sure one of these would fix it and get it working.

Hammer flat. Buy one of these, and fix the hanger alignment on all your bikes - transforms gear shifting.

Thanks Brant. I’ve just been trying to tweak it using one of those tools from a mate. Either the hanger or derailleur cage got a bit twisted, as well as bent as the chain was catching the lowest side part of the cage when in the middle gears. I’ve tried to twist things back by hand and it’s better in the stand but hard to judge as these 12 spd shimano cages and jockey wheels have a bend in them from new.

Hey Brant, is there a CAD drawing so a copy can be made?

I have a C456 frame that’s not doing anything.

If I sell you the dropout can I throw the frame in? 18”/large

Well a new mech hanger isn’t going to fix any of that.

I last worked with these in 2013 and don’t think I’ve any records from that time.

They are incredibly simple bits of plate that would be easily made with a drill press, hacksaw and file.

@pedlad not a huge amount. It has the odd scratch and it’s 26” so a niche market these days.

At work but I’ll PM you later on.

C456 Evo frames take 27.5 XC tyres no sweat. Run mine like that. Great frame. Slack light and confortable ride. 26" was funnest though.

This one?

They were custom and not an off the shelf part. I might be able to get you a drawing or CAD file.

Yes that's the one. CAD file might be useful if I draw a blank elsewhere.

OK, let me see what I can do, you might need to message me as I'll probably forget by the time I'm finished work.
