so, after a few issues to start with and playing around with set-ups, finally hit the sweet spot this evening.
she is now set up for the Nokia Coast to Coast event in a few weeks time and is race ready thats for sure.
even though 6'2" I opted for the 18". Good choice.
Running an inline 330mm Thomson post and a 90mm Thomson stem. May get a layback as the saddle is quite far back on its rails but not a lot in it. Perfect reach now.
dropped the risers (Easton EC70 high rises) for Crank Bros Colbalt 680mm wides and some bar ends have made it on there too (its like being 13 on the Raleigh Mustang all over again!).
Put the big ring back on as was running a 22/36T front end before hand but as there will be a lot of road on the race it will make more sense.
Have fitted MTB Vulpine 2.1" front and rear and they are superb it has to be said.
Also got hold of an Enduro ceramic BB and its made a noticeable difference too.
Cant get over how quick she is now. Rode a good mix of woods, singletrack, double track, moorlands, ups and downs and it was all really really good.
She does wander slightly on steep hills but climbs much better than my last ride (456ti). May drop the stem a notch to see how it fairs.
All in all, really really happy.
now when is the titanium version due out.....
"she" 🙄
