[Closed] Old school bmx restoration forum?

Any recommendations? Do people even do this anymore?
My first issue is a Z rim rebuild. 3x or 4x (I'm guessing the later) and how to get the brake block residue off the rim without destroying it.

iirc Z rims require heating them ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
