I need to fit some stabilizers to an old Ridgeback MX24 but I need to check they will fit before ordering them....

7 speed Shimano hub (no further details). It needs to be 3/8" and not a metric or sa one for the stabilizers to fit. Are Shimano normally "standard" 3/8"?
