[#2330897]

Got a retro bike I want to resurrect, an old Marin Mount Vision from 1990 something but need the disc mount bracket. No one seems to have them anymore, BETD, Hope etc so I'm hoping someones got one knocking around ?

Does anyone have one at all ?

Cheers

Be careful with the rear triangle if not originally specced for disc brakes as they are not the strongest on those Marins.

I assume as there is specific mount to fit the brake adaptor it was designed to take the stress. Thanks for the warning anyway.

I may have one from my old Mt V frame lying around. I'll have a look tonight and see if I can find it

Pic? IS it one of those 22mm 'inside the rear triangle' ones?

1990? If it's a full suss frame then add a few years.

You could make one from plate alloy.

A2Z used to do a mount for it...not sure if you would get one that fitted today's brakes though...I think Marin introduced their first full bouncer in 1997...

cynic-al - re-read the OP's post - he says 1990 something rather than saying it is from 1990...I took 2 reads of it to get it right as well...

Late 90s Mt Vision Pro isn't it Fids? if it's the same as my Mt Vision there was a cut out on the inside of the seatstay that the mount bolted to?

I have a 1999 Mt Vision Frame and the rear swing arm is standard IS but the Manipoo forks were 69mm Post mount (or they were till I sold them)

THB anything from early 90's wont be suitable. 19" frame is for sale for very little money as is a 2003 Trek Liquid 30

Ah...I had a Marin fs from the same time. I'd just make one up from plate alloy.
