Old lever, new 4 pot caliper?

Any reason I can’t pair a current deore or SLX four pot caliper with an XT m785 lever? Need to replace one of my calipers and fancy an upgrade….

No reason at all. We have done it with the same lever and a Saint caliper and also a XTR lever and Saint caliper.
Had to change the banjo but I think the new calipers now come with the banjo
