CG think the ascent of Dunkery isn't on the agenda ๐Ÿ™ or ๐Ÿ˜€
according to your point of view .But we have replaced it with some corking singletrack and descending .Hope thats ok ?

Mr Youngfart - are we having cream tea at the usual place? Presumably you will need to pre-order? Fish and chips on the beach again? Please ... no s****ing like last year at the beached whales ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Dare I ask about tyres? Am currently running Maxxis Medusa 1.8's - will they be OK?

Really looking forward to this. 8)

Hi was down there last week bit of advice dont bother with the BW from Brockwell to Luccombe then the Rupp up to Webbers post both a mess.Dunkrey down to Brockwell running find at the end you get nice RED Tyres.Top of the beacon fine.Alot of surface water about.Grabbist was in better nick the two BWs down to Dunster running dryish.BW down into Wootton Courtenay bit messy nr the end.The BW around Sweetworthy is very muddy in places alot more Exmoor ponies up there nowadays.Have fun.Took me a while to clean bike after a few rides.

Are my 1.8's going to be too skinny?

My bikes don't like mudguards - spoils the lines. ๐Ÿ™„

Hi there i might come along as well if i can please.I'm camping over at Porlock over the Easter holidays so it would be nice to ride with some other people rather than on my own.Been up over the tops today and aimed to go over Dunkery Beacon but couldn't make because of the snow, some of the drifts were knee deep and that was still a way from the summit.Oh, and iv'e only got Racing Ralphs as well...

Am trying to get a message to him!

Will anyone be taking a gps? If so, could they please e-mail the eventual gpx route sometime. Mount doesn't want to keep the gps in place and prefers to throw it off. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Well I think there are other car parks near Butlins so if the one we used before is gone, I'll go there and ride over to McD's.

Hope the weather holds - this afternoon was pretty nice, if a bit cool.

The Warren Road CP looks to be on the same street as McDonalds, just a bit closer to the seafront.

More importantly, are there any news on the cake situation? Are we on code red yet?

Just looking at info linky they are all a fiver so the nearest one to the original will do the trick .I'm guessing the station car park .OR free parking round the industrial estate / Pompys cycles area .Fear not i will check it out and report back tomorrow at Mc Ds car park . ๐Ÿ˜€

Yep, snow has gone but very soggy up there on Thursday!
There's plenty of free parking on the industrial site just round the corner from Pompeys cycles (about 2 mins from McDees) HERE
Have a good one folks (I'll be getting soaked up a mountain in Wales ๐Ÿ˜• )
