Been offered some wheels with arch rims ( old not ex) and they look great. I would use them in the uk with 2.25 ish tyres and once a year with 2.5 tyres. Would this work?

Thanks Simone

I've used wtb 2.55's on them, never had an issue.I know at least two other riders who've run the same combo, again,no probs.

Sounds good. Using roval traverse atm, are the old arch rims more narrow?

Thanks again.

Same internal width as 355 rims or Mavic 719. Should be no problem...I've had a 2.5 Minion on my 355.

Arch rims are good rims; if they'd done Hope Hoops with them, I'd have had them in an instance...bit stronger than 355s, bit lighter than Flows

Worth saving up for the new EX version at all? Pennies are tight and I am only a girl, and don't ride hard.

EX's seem a better bet, at they're both lighter and wider.

new arch are wider than old flows and lighter than old Arch. I'm definitely going to save up some extra pennies for the new version.

I have old Arch, 2.35 is fine, not sure that I would go much wider than that, not regularly anyway. I have some 2.5 minions and I tend to put them on the flow rims
