Hopefully with my new mince-core 456 build, if not it'll be the old mince-core-light build.

10th hope valley mountain bike challenge

Looks like it might be a bit wet this weekend.

I'll be there, just need some last minute brake pads tonight thats all.

My friends are WIMPS so I'm doing it on my own, although my Uncle and a friend (who studied at Hope College) are doing it too, not sure if they'll do the full route.

One whole half of my family is from Hathersage so I actually know the area bit, but strangely hardly done ANY decent riding so I'm looking forward to it.

I need a rest so might not bother this weekend.

Ruthin 30K CRC mini marathon last Sunday,

Glentress red on Wednesday evening, legs are nicely tired now.

I might nip up Rivi for a quick blast on Sunday morning though ๐Ÿ˜€

Four laps of the FOD.

What are the trail conditions at the moment PSLING?

Damn fine ๐Ÿ™‚ We haven't had too much rain here during the last week, the ground mostly drains well and the forecast is good. Grippy front tyre for all that glorious singletrack at speed ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Starting before light and using the crosser.

Chapel Sambob. Ended up taking it easy with a Coombes, Whaley, Furness Vale, almost Chinley Churn, Hayfield, Roych Clough and Malcoff trip. Really quiet until I dropped onto the Hope Valley Mountain Bike Challange route, which wasnt really that busy.

Fri Home-Puerto Navacerrada-home 100km
Sat Home-Puerto Navacerrada-home
Sun (if I survive) home-Puerto Navacerrada-home

Chances of succeeding? Let's wait and see.

Update: All completed.

Thurs 3'50"
Fri 4'30 (not sure what happened there)
Sat 4'10
Sun 3'57"

All things considered, I'm very happy. ๐Ÿ˜†

50 miler didn't happen cos we had a newbie with us.. (poor sod)..

we did however traverse the bog of eternal stench.. we also encountered the Earl of Devons magnificent deer herd at very close quarters and I avoided paying the fair on the train home..

stage one of the initiation complete..!

(bit tipsy now)
