[#3628692]

My frame has a 1.5 Headtube.

The forks I'm looking at our Fox Kashima Tapered.

Is it as easy as picking up a Hope Tapered Headset?

No, you will need a reducer headset.

Right ok, wouldn't a reducer headset put the whole headset down to 1.1/8? Even though the tapered section at the bottom is still 1.5?

use the Hope sets.
http://www.hopetech.com/page.aspx?itemID=SPG188
or get a reducer for the top & a std 1.5 for the bottom.

Talk to the chimps at 18bikes - they sorted me for £55 or so.

Edit: I went to full 1.5, so I've a spare one in my draw, I'll just make sure it's tapered... £30 posted?
My mistake it's a full reducer 1.5 to 1 1/8th.

for clarity: you need a reducer for the top & full 1.5 for the bottom - 'k?

Use hope: pick and mix 😉

I have heard that hope do now reply to emails, but to be safe give em a ring too....

EDIT: Just a silly thought, you do have a STD 1.5 headtube (a la C'dale), and not one of the new 44mm ones that will fit 1.5 forks?

just checking... they are great aren't they. What bike BTW?
I really don't understand why so few manufacturers picked up on them, and then the 'industry' decided that a tapered headtube is obviously the way ahead...
