Doh! Been roped into taking part in a pedal car race tomorrow. The first time I will see the bloody thing is at the start. Nice. Should be a laugh, though. And for all you Tandem of Doom fans - no, I didn't build the car..

Is it the one in Ringwood?

The Dorset rough riders are not doing it this year - but it is great fun and a lot harder than it sounds.

Plenty of scope for hilarious 'Last of the Summer Wine' stylee calamity.

Wahey! Only bleedin' won it! There were only 4 'home made' cars in it, the rest were these horrible oversized go kart things. The hot favourite was made by a big local engineering firm - aluminium frame, disc brake, loads of gears, aero body. They were the ones to beat. Their team seemed to be some very fit looking skinny guys too. The biggest cheer of the day was when one of their wheels fell off!
We had a few chain falling off moments early on but once we got it sorted it was all good. I must admit to doing most of our laps but it was a good team effort and we got a big **** off trophy for winning it which we got filled with 'champagne'. Yes, I have been to the pub. Yes, I am buzzing still. Yes, I very rarely win owt. And probably yes, I am sad but what a good do!

Check the team name!
Brant, may well take you upon that - nice one!
First set of pics:

The back wheels were pretty much spaghetti by the time we finished. Crappy owd kids bike wheels and lateral forces (ie me drifting it on every hairpin) are not good!

Innit? Sadly when we got it filled up with Shampers we discovered that it leaked from the rivet in the bottom... We just drank faster.

If you look closely it says that they won The Unibond Premier League.
