[#12108626]

Just got an email then picked myself up from the floor...after running round the garden... and shouting WWWAAAAA ! a lot.

I'm not sure if you remember Claudio and Nino doing 25 laps of Lenzerheide as a fundraiser for Pump For Peace... and the fact it was possible to be entered in a raffle with a bike as a prize when you made a donation ....

Well schizzle me... I won it!

I'm now the proud owner of a 2021 Spesh Turbo Levo Carbon Expert !

Christmas has indeed landed! I hopefully pick it up next week...I'm absolutely staggered....

Wow, that's the correct raffle to win.
(I was genuinely just offered tickets for a raffle with...3 jars of honey as the prize)

Congratulations , now you need a new shed to put it in, or a van, or just keep it in the kitchen. So far as I'm concerned emtb opened up a load of new possibilities

Googles...picks jaw off floor.....a £7.2K prize bike - shit the bed!

Nice one. I don't want an ebike, as in I don't want to spend £7.2K on an ebike......but I'd sure as hell be keeping and enjoying it if I won one!

Well done, Rick! I like it when nice people win nice things; I'll never forget you taking me around your Torridon loop - mountain biking just doesn't get any better.

Not an S-Works, basically an unrideable deathtrap

razorrazoo,

Funny you mention it but on the prize table were three jars of honey (artesian Swiss Self-Homing Bees, natch), a tin of Quality Street, a bottle of Johnny Walker, a subscription to a specialist magazine called "Razzle" and this bike... tough choice as it looked like really really nice honey...but hey ho...

Bit puzzled about the unridable deathtrap comment though...

I got coerced into buying raffle tickets for my niece's school last night.

Prize list:-
Luxury hamper of meat - I'm vegan
A pair of apple air pods - I'm an android user
Vouchers to a gin online shop - this I can use
A voucher for a children's sports holiday camp - childless
And...star prize....a family match ticket to watch Bromley FC - I'm sure it'll be awesums but it's be a 1200 mile round trip.

Please let it be the gin, please let it be the gin.

Congratulations! But please, take a moment to think of the south cumbrian environment advisors who won't be fortunate enough to get a new ebike this Christmas and haven't had a new bike for some time. Some of these unfortunate people are kept in apalling conditions including houses with unfinished utility rooms, some have go to site and are forced to work more than two days a week. But you can make a difference. You can turn around the bleak Christmas they face this year by a simple act of generosity. You know you'll feel a lot better for it. Be the change you want to see (email in profile)

I paid for an alloy last generation Levo and I still think it’s bloody marvellous (and still like riding my hardtail too). Winning an even fancier new one is absolutely awesome - have fun!

Just checking this isn’t one of those ‘Look [signficant other], I’ve won a bike! No of course I haven’t bought a £7.2k bike, I won it in a competition!’ Type ruses…
