Hi all
Had my Mazda 6 estate 2.0 petrol serviced today (it's 2 years old) with 23000 miles.
I was told when collecting that the shock absorbers were showing some misting and that it needs to be rechecked in a few thousand miles.
My questions are
1 is this a common problem?
2 if they do need changing will this be a warrantied item?
3 should they be doing this at 23000 miles?
Thankyou again for the wisdom of the STW forum
I had this with A peugeot 306 when I got it MOT'ed at 56000 miles, It's still getting the same warning at 170000 miles, the shocks still work, and it still passes the MOT's
Yep been advisory for four years now
Misting? Leaking oil?
If its misting it will need replacing, at some point.
If it was an old car I'd say wait until it fails an MOT, but on a two y/o, just get it done now - you may be lucky, and Mazda may warrant it.
