Put my rear mech through the spokes when coming down from Derwent Edge to Ladybower yesterday. Mostly my own fault as I'd seen that the rear mech was dodgy at the start of the ride, and decided to carry on anyway, because I had a friend visiting.

Fortunately the wheel was ok, however the rear mech (XTR!) is trashed, the mech hanger has completely sheared, and the worst news, it's sheared the driveside dropout on the (carbon fibre) chainstays meaning that they'll need to be repaired.

I'm due to be going to The White Room on Saturday, so dropped my bike off with the nice chaps at Sherwood Pines Cycles today, hopefully Scott will have the part in stock and I'll still be able to take my own bike with me to ride.

Apart from that a great weekend, Edale loop on Saturday, Cut Gate and Derwent Edge (before the ride was cut tragically short) Sunday.
