It appears that my torque wrench is not accurate. Either that, or the pivot bolts are made of cheese.
Anyway, I need to source one of the end caps for a pivot - the ones that go through the linkage and the toptube/seat stay junction. Anyone know where from?
Scott dealer?
Argh. Scott don't sell these things separately. They have a kit, which contains all the bits for replacing every pivot. £100
Dammit. Anyone got a knackered Spark 2012 onwards model with some spare its? 😀
No, found that one already - that's the 2009 model. They changed the design in 2011/12 ish.
🙁
local machine shop, get some made
Had crossed my mind.
Had also considered buying the full kit as will need new bearings in the next two years probably anyway, and spares can always be sold to [s]idiots[/s] unfortunate people like me.
Ho hum.
